CORRELATION STUDIES IN SOME PUNJAB WHEATS

IT has always been the endeavour of plant breeders to find out simple guides in morphological characters for the purpose of spotting out high yielders but such studies have not proved easy because yield is a very compliqlted .character depending upon
numerous genetical factors interacting with environment. Although the results of
correlation studies have been oflimited value, nevertheless, the subject has continued to
engage the attention of plant breeders.
