INHERITANCE OF OIL CONTENT IN CASTOR

Castor bean is valued for its oil content. Soil fertility, methods of storage
and environment do not affect its oil content, thus indicating that the oil content
is a constant varietal character (Kulkarni, 1959). This note presents the mode
of inheritance of oil content in two varieties of castor beans.
