Abstract
A strain developed through three cycles of selection for tolerance to nonfreezing cold stress (least yellowing of leaves) in maize (Zea mays L.) cv. Partap was evaluated for per se performance and combining ability in diallel crosses under four environments comprising two locations and two plant densities.
