Abstract

The study revealed that lOO-grain weight can be successfully utilized to identify higher yielding genotypes during early generation selection in rainfed rice. Simultaneous selection for grains/panicle, lOO-grain weight and grain yield/plant can lead to identification of high yielding genotypes in F2 generation.
